Renewal and Reflection: Staff Retreat

Strengthening Community and Faith Beyond the Workplace

03 October 2025

On October 3, fifteen uncles and aunties gathered for a one-day retreat, a day dedicated to reflection, spiritual renewal, and team bonding. The retreat provided a welcome pause from daily routines, allowing everyone to reconnect with their sense of purpose and the community around them. Guided by Fr. Tomasz Zalewski, O.P., and Fr. Francisco Carin, C.M.F., the day included moments of prayer, meditation, and thoughtful discussions on faith, service, and personal growth. Participants were encouraged to reflect not only on their daily roles but also on the deeper meaning of their work in serving others.

Assisting in the retreat were Campus Ministry Head Sr. Rosa Dabhi, CCV, along with Mr. Erick Gonzales and Mr. Arcel Joseph Amoguis, who facilitated interactive sessions that fostered teamwork, dialogue, and mutual support. Attendees engaged in reflective exercises, shared experiences, and meaningful conversations, strengthening their bonds beyond their everyday tasks.

One uncle shared, “This retreat reminded us that our work is more than tasks—it’s a service to the community. Coming together in prayer and reflection helps us support one another and stay connected.”

The retreat emphasized the importance of rest, reflection, and fellowship, leaving the group renewed in spirit and ready to continue their vital work with energy, faith, and camaraderie.
