Walking Humbly Together:✨ Celebrating St. Martin de Porres

St. Martin de Porres Feast Day

3 November 2025

The school community came together on November 3, 2025, to celebrate the Feast Day of St. Martin de Porres with a special Mass held in the gymnasium. Middle and High School students gathered in a spirit of unity and reflection, filling the space with warmth and reverence. The celebration honored St. Martin, the humble Peruvian saint known for his deep compassion, quiet service, and unwavering dedication to helping the poor, the sick, and the marginalized. His life—marked by gentleness, generosity, and a profound love for all people—continues to inspire students to look beyond themselves and choose kindness in everyday moments.

The Mass was celebrated by School Chaplain Fr. Tomasz Zalewski, OP, who shared a heartfelt message about St. Martin’s example of mercy, humility, and justice. He reflected on the words of Micah 6:8: “What does the Lord require of you but to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God?” Fr. Tomasz invited students to see this Scripture not just as a reminder, but as a simple roadmap for daily life—one that St. Martin lived faithfully through small acts of love and service.

Students participated throughout the liturgy with readings, music, and quiet moments of prayer, helping create a meaningful atmosphere for the celebration. As the Mass came to a close, the message of St. Martin de Porres remained clear: true greatness is found in humility, compassion, and a heart willing to serve. Students left encouraged to carry these values into their classrooms, friendships, and everyday choices.
